InstaCRT three-pass color image HOWTO

A quick guide on how to make a InstaCRT-filtered photo in full color.

1. take a photo 

 

2. create separate files for all three color channels (R, G & B)

 

3. send the R, G & B channels thru instacrt one at a time

 

4. reassemble the results into one file again – done!

I made this commercial for clothing brand Our Legacy something like 4 years ago. For some reason it was never used. Directed, shot and edited by me. Great bike riding by  Martin Ström. Music by Roll the Dice.

We (me, Martin Ström & Erik Wåhlström) finally released our iPhone app InstaCRT. It’s a real life photo filter. I’ve made a short demo video to explain how it works and what it looks like.
